According to The Guardian, Arsenal have completed the transfer of FC Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny; whilst The Express report that Manchester United are on the verge of signing Dynamo Kiev’s Aleksandar Dragovic.
The Egypt international passed a medical at the Emirates in December but work permit issues delayed the move from becoming official.
Gunners gaffer Arsene Wenger revealed last weekend that he hoped to conclude the deal by the end of this week and it has now been confirmed on the club’s official website – with The Guardian reporting a £7.4million transfer fee.
The industrious 23-year-old is now in contention to make his Arsenal and Premier League debut against Stoke City on Sunday.

Meanwhile, The Express report that Manchester United are on the verge of signing Dynamo Kiev centre-back Aleksandar Dragovic – coincidentally, another former FC Basel star.
The Red Devils have conceded ten times in their last five Premier League games – including three goals against Newcastle United on Tuesday night – and Louis van Gaal is reportedly keen to bolster his backline with a swoop for the £16million-rated Austrian international.
But The Express, who cite Sport Mediaset, alleged the deal would be completed last night. The 24-year-old’s rumoured transfer hasn’t been confirmed by any British source or the club yet.
