Marcelo Brozovic

According to reports from Calcio Mercato, Arsenal have launched a €19million bid for Chelsea target and Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

The 23-year-old was on Arsenal’s radar last season but the north London club were beaten to his signature by the Nerazzurri, who signed him from Dynamo Zagreb on an 18-month loan deal in January 2015 with a €8million obligation to buy.

The Croatian international hasn’t been a guaranteed starter at the San Siro this season but his recent form, netting three spectacular goals in his last five appearances, has seen Arsenal revive their interest and Chelsea enter the race for his signature – not to mention the emergence of the increasingly popular #EpicBrozo hashtag.

Reports earlier this week revealed that Inter could be prepared to surrender Brozovic for slightly less than the €20million valuation once mooted and Calcio Mercato now claim that the Gunners have launched a formal €19million bid.

Rivaled interest could prove problematic, however. Along with Chelsea, scouts from Sevilla, Tottenham Hotspur and even European champions Barcelona have been spotted running the rule over the 14-cap international in recent weeks.

I wish to seriously advise Mancini and Inter management not to be tempted to sell Marcelo Brozovic at any cost. In my opinion, this guy is well-tested and seasoned. Currently, he’s our mid field dynamo. He schemes and attacks perfectly ,and he takes terrific shots outside the 18 yard box, thereby scoring freely. The 3 goals he’s scored in the past 2 weeks were quite dazzling. Our opponents are really wary of him, because of his thunderous and precise shots. He is very stable and reliable. I don’t think we will ever find a diminutive player like him elsewhere. He struggled initially to adapt to Serie A like most players in a new league, but now, he has mustered the technical cum tactical experience of playing in Serie A . MANCHINI; DON’T SELL BROZOVIC. PERIOD.
