According to reports from The Daily Mail, Arsenal are looking to poach highly-rated youngster Tyrese Campbell from Manchester City’s academy.

The young forward is the son of former Arsenal and Everton star Kevin Campbell, who bagged 46 goals in 166 league appearances for the north London outfit before leaving for Nottingham Forest in 1995.

The 15-year-old netted 49 times for City’s U16 squad last season and is widely regarded as one of the most exciting prospects within the England fold, having already represented the Three Lions at U17 level.

Performances for club and country have alerted Arsenal’s scouts, who are now hoping the prospect of following in his father’s footsteps will entice Campbell into swapping the Etihad for the Emirates.

City will be determined to hold onto the highly rated hot shot, however, and their academy is well established as one of the best in England. Their U21 squad claimed last season’s Premier League International Cup.
