According to reports from Football Italia, Liverpool target Mario Suarez has insisted he’s happy at Fiorentina, whilst London Evening Standard claim Chelsea have agreed a fee with Juventus for on-loan midfielder Juan Cuadrado.
Defensive midfielder Suarez was linked with Arsenal and Liverpool during the summer after claiming a Europa League title, a Copa del Rey and a La Liga title during five campaigns at Atletico Madrid, but eventually joined the Florence outfit instead.
Having made just two Serie A starts before the weekend, however, the 28 year-old has emerged on Liverpool’s radar once again in recent weeks – with reports last Thursday claiming he’s been actively pushing for a January move to Anfield.
After scoring in a 4-1 win over Frosinone on Saturday, however, Suarez insisted he has no plans to leave Florentina, telling Firenzeviola.it; “I am grateful to the club, to the Della Valle brothers and to director Daniele Pradè, just as I am to the fans who have faith in me I will stay here, I am happy to stay at Fiorentina.”
Meanwhile, London Evening Standard claim Chelsea have agreed a fee with Juventus for Juan Cuadrado, who joined the Serie A champions on loan during the summer after just 13 Premier League appearances for the west Londoners.
The clubs have been in negotiations for some time and now appear to have agreed a £15.75million fee – around a £10million loss on Chelsea’s original investment made just eleven months ago. The news comes after the Colombian international scored the winner in a 2-1 victory over local rivals Torino on Saturday.
Hardly think that any LFC fan either believes or wants this guy at Anfield. He didn’t want in the summer and now he isn’t getting games he thinks a nice little earner could be at with us. Think again!
