In news that will probably come as no great surprise to the majority of Liverpool fans, rumour has it Jurgen Klopp is on the look out for a new No.1.
Indeed, the jury’s still out on whether Simon Mignolet has what it takes to be a first-choice goalkeeper at a club as big as Liverpool, which says quite a lot considering the Belgium international is now into his third season at Anfield.
Although he’s produced moments of occasional brilliance, they’ve been offset by a number of howling gaffes that will probably take pride of place on the Premier League’s next bloopers DVD.
So with that in mind, This Is Futbol have been running the rule over some of the latest goalkeepers tipped to replace Mignolet between the Anfield sticks ahead of next season – and come up with a suggestion of our own.
