According to reports from The Daily Star this morning, the agent of summer strike target Aleksandr Kokorin has claimed he could still secure a move to Arsenal.

The Russian international netted against Algeria at last summer’s World Cup and comes highly-rated, boasting a return of 30 goals in his last 77 league outings for Dynamo Moscow.

The 24 year-old was linked with Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur during the final days of the summer transfer window and it has since emerged that the Gunners were particularly keen on a season-long loan.

Dynamo Moscow manager Andrey Kobelov revealed earlier this month; “There were substantial discussions on Kokorin, but it did not happen. We vetoed a loan. I believe that Alexander deserves more than a loan.”

Reports have since claimed the north London outfit are still interested in signing Kokorin, with the 6 foot forward allegedly topping Arsene Wenger’s list of potential January targets.

And Kokorin’s agent Cyril Loginov has now insisted an Emirates move could still go ahead. He’s quoted by The Star as saying; “Aleksandr, if all well informed, still has a chance [to move in the future] and not just to Arsenal. If Dinamo refused to give Aleksandr to Arsenal in the past transfer window, it does not mean that he can’t be where he wants [in the next window].

“We have a very good relationship with the coaching staff and the management of the football club Dinamo Moscow. We have, of course, been notified.”
