Zlatan Ibrahimovic

According to reports from talkSPORT this afternoon, MLS side Orlando City have made a shock enquiry into the availability of PSG front-man Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The iconic Swede boasts 110 goals in 133 appearances for the Parc de Princes outfit, firing them to three consecutive Ligue 1 titles and two Coupe de la Ligues.

But his contract expires at the end of the season and it was revealed in June that the French champions don’t intend to extend it, leading to links with a variety of Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window – most particularly Arsenal and Manchester United.

talkSPORT continue to list the 34 year-old, who hasn’t lost a title race since 2002/03, as a target of both Premier League title contenders.

But citing reports from TuttoMercatoWeb, they claim the 6 foot 5 striker has been approached by MLS outfit Orlando City. Ibrahimovic claimed in July that his next move would be ‘a very big surprise’ and Adrian Heath’s side would certainly fall into that category.

They signed 2007 Ballon d’Or winner Kaka in summer 2014 and are keen to make another marquee signing as the strength of the American league continues to grow.
