Yarmolenko

According to reports from The Express this afternoon, in-demand winger Andriy Yarmolenko has signed a new contract with Dynamo Kiev.

The 25 year-old boasts a potent return of 103 goals in 274 appearances for the Ukrainian outfit and has attracted plenty of Premier League interest over the last few years, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Tottenham, Stoke City and even European champions Barcelona all mooted as keen admirers.

The Gunners were believed to be particularly keen on a January bid for the Ukraine international, who lays claim to 20 goals and 52 caps for his country, whilst reports of Chelsea’s interest emerged after manager Jose Mourinho was spotted in the stands during a 1-0 defeat to Spain on Monday evening.

According to The Express, however, Yarmolenko’s Premier League suitors have been dealt a huge blow by the winger extending his Dynamo Kiev stay until 2020.

An official club statement revealed; “FC Dynamo Kiev player Andriy Yarmolenko has signed new contract with our club. The agreement will be valid until October 14 2020.”

The player in question, meanwhile, said upon signing his new deal; “I’ve become Ukraine international featuring here. I’ve won all domestic trophies. Dynamo are my family and I’m happy I’m staying here. Dynamo have ambitious goals, I think we are on the right track. There are some failures, but we can change that. I’m ready to do my best to help Dynamo.”
