Valdes

According to reports from Mirror Football yesterday afternoon, Victor Valdes is being ‘humiliated’ by Louis van Gaal’s training ground rules for the ostracised Manchester United goalkeeper.

The former Barcelona No.1 moved to Old Trafford as a free agent in January and made two Premier League appearances for the Red Devils at the end of last season, following an injury to David De Gea.

But Louis van Gaal surprisingly revealed in July that the 2010 World Cup winner had been placed on the transfer list after refusing to represent United’s U21 squad. He came close to joining Besiktas in the final week of the summer transfer window but the deal collapsed at the last minute.

And Mirror Football claim the Spain international is now only allowed to use the facilities at Carrington, United’s training complex, when the rest of the first team aren’t there. It means he will mostly train alone in the afternoon -when the senior string’s morning session is finished.

The British newspaper describe it as ‘another example of van Gaal’s uncompromising man management style’.

Valdes’ Old Trafford nightmare could soon be over, however. According to reports earlier this week, Liverpool are looking to take the 33 year-old off United’s hands as they seek added competition for Simon Mignolet’s No.1 jersey, which would make him the first player to move directly between the two northwest rivals since Phil Chisnall in 1964.

Likewise, Chelsea have reportedly shortlisted the veteran shot-stopper for emergency loan, should Asmir Begovic join Thibaut Courtois on the injury list or pick up a lengthy suspension before the transfer window reopens January.

NO I DO NOT THINK VAN GAAL IS BEING HARSH AT ALL. HE IS THE BOSS AND HE MAKES DECISIONS AND RULES AND IS GETTING THE RESULTS NEEDED WITH HIS METHODS. SIR ALEX FERGUSON WAS ALSO A VERY STRICT MANAGER. THAT IS WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A RUTHLESS MANAGER AND WIN TROPHIES. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK LOUIS VAN GAAL. MANCHESTER UNITED FOR LIFE.

Van is really too harsh with his players. He isn’t good at keeping relationship with players and I think that affects the success in return.
