According to reports from The Metro this morning, Arsenal are leading the pack in the race to sign Denmark prodigy Pione Sisto.
The 20 year-old has just come to the end of a fine campaign for FC Midtjyland, grabbing a goal and an assist on the final day of the season to see the MCH Arena outfit win their first ever Danish league title – not to mention claiming the Danish Player of the Year award in December 2014.
The 5 foot 7 midfielder has brought his prominent form to the currently ongoing Under 21 European Championship, netting in Denmark’s opening fixture against Czech Republic to bring his total for the U21s to four goals in two appearances, having bagged a hat-trick back in January.
There’s plenty of interest in Sisto, who was born in Uganda, with The Metro claiming Barcelona and Juventus are considering summer bids and The Daily Star mooting Everton and Manchester City as potential suitors last month.
Currently, however, Arsenal are leading the race for the prodigious youngster’s signature.
