Tottenham are coming to the end of a campaign in which they’ve neither progressed or regressed, set to finish in the Premier League’s best-of-the-rest category just outside the top four.
Rather, this season has largely been about transition – letting Mauricio Pochettino’s methods sink in whilst the Argentine runs the rule over a large and diverse squad.
But the Lilywhites have shown great promise at times this term – despite not finishing a single match-day in the Premier League’s top four. They did, after all, reach the Capital One Cup final, and also thumped champions-in-waiting Chelsea 5-3 on New Years’ Day – arguably the game of the season in the English top flight.
So some wise additions this summer could go a very long way. In fact, we at This Is Futbol think they could even propel the Lilywhites into the promised land of Champions League football.
