According to reports from The Express this morning, the agent of in-demand Juventus star Paul Pogba has strongly implied Real Madrid are interested in signing his client this summer.
The 22 year-old has emerged as one of the leading central midfielders in world football since leaving Manchester United for the Turin outfit in 2012, boasting an eclectic mix of athleticism, technical quality and netting prowess.
He’s widely expected to leave Juve this summer after claiming a third consecutive Serie A title with the Old Lady, and Chelsea and Manchester United are both considered to be in the race for his signature – as This Is Futbol revealed last month.
But Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, has strongly insinuated one of the continent’s biggest clubs also want to sign the France international this summer – European champions Real Madrid.
Speaking to Premium Sport, he informed reporters negotiations had reached a delicate stage, following surprising claims from Juventus Director Bebbi Marotta earlier this week that Pogba won’t be put on the market this summer – as This Is Futbol reported yesterday.
“It’s a very delicate moment,” said Raiola.”I prefer not to talk about Paul. I can only say that my client is liked by all the big and smart clubs.
“Even Real Madrid? I repeat, he appeals to all the big and smart clubs,” he added.
