Marko Marin

According to reports from The Express yesterday evening, La Liga side Malaga are plotting a loan move for Chelsea misfit Marko Marin next season.

The former German international arrived at Stamford Bridge in summer 2012 but made just six Premier League appearances during his only full season at the club – one dominated by a niggling hamstring injury – spending the rest of his Chelsea career on loan at various different European destinations.

Last term, for example, he secured a short-term stay at Sevilla, whilst this season he’s represented both Fiorentina and Anderlecht, having cancelled his loan move with the former in January after failing to make a single Serie A appearance.

And according to The Express, Malaga are now keen on loan deal for 2015/16 after being impressed with the midfielder’s performances for Sevilla – having scored twice in 30 appearances for Los Rojiblancos.

The British tabloid claim Jose Mourinho is prepared to sanction a loan move – but now entering the final two years of his Stamford Bridge contract, the west Londoners would be advised to seek permanent offers first.
