According to reports from The Daily Star this afternoon, Serie A champions Juventus are targeting two Premier League playmakers for the summer transfer window – Chelsea’s Oscar and Manchester United’s Juan Mata.

They’re expecting to lose key midfielder Paul Pogba this summer with a host of top European clubs eyeing the France international – including Chelsea, as This Is Futbol informed you earlier this month – and view both Premier League stars as potential replacements. According to The Star, manager Massimiliano Allegri is keen on a creative presence who can sit behind Juve’s two-pronged attack.

Oscar is first on their list but few anticipate a Chelsea sale; not only has the 23 year-old Brazilian continued to show great promise this season, but he’s also one of the few No.1o’s in world football who encapsulate Jose Mourinho’s hardworking ethos.

Mata is mooted as a likely alternative, and although he’s put in a number of good performances this term – particularly, his brace against Liverpool at Anfield – the Spain international is yet to find a habitual role in Man United’s starting XI.

They’re not the only club interested in the former Chelsea Player of the Year however; as This Is Futbol informed you earlier this week, Tottenham are considering an audacious summer swoop.
