Raheem Sterling

As This Is Futbol informed you earlier today, Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all believed to be interested in signing Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling this summer.

It follows news that he’d turn down an £180k per-week contract at Anfield and an incredibly insightful interview with the BBC, where the England international claimed silverware, not financial gain, was causing the uncertainty in regards to his Merseyside future. His current deal is set to expire in summer 2017.

Following an emphatic 4-1 win against the Reds this afternoon however (check out This Is Futbol’s Full Time Match Report here), Arsene Wenger has denied he’s interested in the 2014 Golden Boy winner.

“We have been linked [to Sterling only] by the media. At the moment we are not in the transfer period. We have plenty of offensive players. We had [Theo] Walcott, [Tomas] Rosicky and [Danny] Welbeck on the bench today,” the beaming Gunners gaffer informed the media, as reported by Goal.com.

That leaves Chelsea and Manchester United to battle it out for Sterling, whilst Manchester City have also been linked by some tabloids, including Mirror Football. Whether any are prepared to meet the Reds’ apparent £50million valuation, however – as reported by The Telegraph – remains to be seen.
