Kevin Mirallas

According to reports from Mirror Football yesterday evening, West Ham will rival Tottenham in the pursuit for Everton star Kevin Mirallas.

The winger boasts an impressive 26 goals in 99 appearances for the Toffees whilst remaining no stranger to the assists charts, but caused quite the stir in January when he took the ball off spot-kick specialist Leighton Baines for a penalty against West Bromwich Albion, only to spoon his effort wide of goal – as reported by The Daily Mail.

With now just a year remaining on the Belgium international’s Goodison contract, both West Ham and the Lilywhites are keen to land him on the cheap this summer. Interestingly, the 27 year-old claimed earlier in the season that he’d be interested in a ‘new challenge’ for the 2015/16 campaign – as reported by Mirror Football back in February.

The Hammers desperately want to improve their attack as their long-anticipated move to the Olympic Stadium, which will give them the fourth-largest capacity in the Premier League, slowly looms, whilst the Lilywhites have lacked pace and trickery on their flanks all season.

What kind of figure Everton value Mirallas at, however, remains to be seen.
