Radamel Falcao

According to reports from The Express this afternoon, Real Madrid are considering a summer bid for Manchester United misfit Radamel Falcao.

The Red Devils signed the Colombian striker on a one-year loan deal from Monaco in the final stages of the summer 2014 transfer window, but having scored just four goals in his 19-game Premier League career thus far, a permanent deal is looking increasingly unlikely.

As part of the original loan agreement, the Old Trafford outfit would have to pay around £43million for the 28 year-old – as reported by Manchester Evening News.

But Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is now prepared to offer Falcao an escape route back to the Spanish capital, having scored 70 goals in 91 appearances during a two-year spell with rivals Atletico Madrid – which earned the South American his £54million move to Ligue 1 in 2013.

The Express claim Falcao’s agent, Jorge Mendez, is in constant talks with Bernabeu President Florentino Perez regarding a summer move. Whether Monaco would accept Real’s valuation of just £32million, however, remains to be seen.
