Javier Hernandez

It’s been a tough few years for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez. He became a peripheral figure at Old Trafford under David Moyes last season and is now struggling for goals at adoptive club Real Madrid, who loaned the Mexico international from the Red Devils during the summer.

He’s scored just four goals in 16 La Liga outings this term, but after finding the net against Eibar this afternoon, manager Carlo Ancelotti has suggested Chicarito could yet have a future at the Bernabeu with talks planned for the end of the campaign – as reported by The Metro.

“Chicharito played very good,” said the former Chelsea manager after Hernandez’ goal in a 3-0 win.

“He’s still a Manchester United player but we will hold talks at the end of the season,” he added.

The Metro claim the 5 foot 9 poacher doesn’t feature in Louis van Gaal’s long-term plans, but Radamel Falcao’s struggles at Old Trafford could pave the way for Hernandez’ return.

As This Is Futbol reported earlier this month, a recent poll revealed 51% of Man United fans want the 26 year-old back at Carrington next season – whilst Real Madrid are reportedly considering a summer move for Falcao – as claimed by The Daily Mail back in February.

Hernandez is a quality player. He should be retained and played by LVG.
RVP is reaching his end date and Falcao has not been able to demonstrate sufficient post injury ability to remain at ManU.
Rooney, Wilson and Hernandez are a solid group which can be supplemented this summer. Stick with youth and the future will be positive!
