According to reports from The Express this afternoon, Arsenal and Liverpool target Pedro has admitted he’s in a ‘complicated situation’ at Barcelona.

The Spain international has been part of the Nou Camp tapestry for some time, making his first team debut in 2008 and going on to win four La Liga titles and two Champions League titles with the Catalan outfit – whilst also lifting the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 European Championship with La Roja.

In the wake of Luis Suarez’ £75million arrival last summer, however, the 27 year-old has struggled for game time, making just 13 starts out of a possible 30 in the Spanish top flight this season.

With just a year remaining on his Nou Camp contract come the summer, many expect Pedro to move on. Arsenal and Liverpool are considered to be amongst his most viable suitors, as reported by Mirror Football.

Due to their transfer embargo until 2016, however, Barcelona won’t be able to sign a replacement for the winger-forward for at least another two transfer windows – which could convince Pedro to stay on past the summer out of respect for the club.

He admitted it’s a rather unique scenario, telling reporters after a 4-0 win over Almera; “I’m in a complicated situation. When the moment arrives, I will talk to the club.”
