With transfer fees inflating and clubs keen to reign in their spending to comply with Financial Fair Play, we are likely to see more and more ‘player exchange’ or ‘swap’ deals in the near future. Football has existed in an alternate financial universe for some considerable time, but now even the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona are becoming slaves to the accountants, which could see one of the most exciting ever swaps in the history of the game.

The Blues are rumoured to be very interested in Lionel Messi, while the Catalan giants have been linked with Eden Hazard in the past. Surely not? Or maybe… There have been no official links as of yet, but there’s certainly a possibility that this may have crossed the minds of those in charge of the transfers at each club, with Messi valued at upwards of £200m! Hazard is also unlikely to be cheap should he move, with the Belgian still a young player at the age of 24.

Both sets of fans will have their opinion on this, but this FIFA 15 advert shows that the two are pretty inseparable on the XBOX One. The two must have pooled together their leftover Christmas money to bag two copies of the top football game, and an intense TV screen battle gives us a hint that either could function in the shirt of the other player…
