Could Manchester United really be interested in this £60m target?

PogbaSince leaving Old Trafford two seasons ago, Paul Pogba has somehow endeavoured to keep getting linked back to his old club. That’s what happens when you let a World Class player go.

That’s the reason why Cristiano Ronaldo continues to get linked with a move back to Old Trafford. Manchester United fans and football fans in general find it difficult to let go of the past.

There’s no doubting Paul Pogba’s ability. The Frenchman is bizarrely assured on the ball. He’s the kind of player who always seems to find himself in space and with plenty of time to pick out a killer pass. That’s because he’s a smart cookie who positions himself well and has an excellent first touch.

He’s also becoming increasingly dangerous in front of goal. In 88 appearances for Juventus (over two seasons – see how integral he is to their team?), he’s found the back of the net 14 times. That’s not a bad return for a young midfielder.

Of course, there are elements of his game that are still developing. At 21-years-old, this is completely natural. It’s a little frightening to think how good he’ll be in three or four years time.

You can see why Manchester United fans would regret letting him go.

But what are we supposed to make of the rumours linking Paul Pogba with a shock return to Old Trafford?

With The Express claiming that Juventus would be willing to sell The Frenchman for £60m (wow!), it’s certainly not out of the question. It is, however, highly unlikely.

Paul Pogba didn’t exactly leave Old Trafford on the best terms. He was frustrated with his lack of game time and with the treatment he received from Sir Alex Ferguson. His appreciation of Manchester United may have been diminished by the experience.

With that in mind, I think it’s probably best that Manchester United stay clear of this one. This ship set sale a long time ago. His £60m price-tag is bizarre to say the least.

Besides, isn’t it time for The Red Devils to work on getting the most out of Juan Mata?

What’s your take? Should Manchester United be interested in re-signing Paul Pogba?

It is good to have a player like Pogba, certainly there is a soft corner in the heart of Pogba, about Man utd, for it was here he was nurtured, ofcourse there could have been a difference of opinion about his relationship with sir.Alex, but in the context of the club’s identity as one of the best club’s in England and of course keeping in mind about the investment of glazers, it is good to bring him back. Will certainly be a worthy asset. By the way, the ideology of supporting youngsters in man utd, where was it when Pogba was sitting and warming the bench in Old Trafford !!!!
