Danny Welbeck (Man United)Whilst most Manchester United fans are still attempting to get over their incredible, jaw-dropping deal for Radamel Falcao, some have been able to take a break to express concern over their club’s decision to send Danny Welbeck packing.

For every fan that’s pointed out Welbeck’s workaday goal-scoring record, there’s one that’s noted his talent, drive and passion. Fans have also been keen to play on the 23-year-old’s dedication to Manchester United. After all, he’s been at the club since he was 8-years-old.

Despite his youth, he’s already made 142 appearances for his boyhood club (scoring 29 goals in the process). He looked like a typical one-club man in the making. Unfortunately, circumstances have necessitated that he move on. It’s sad, but it should hardly come as a surprise.

Decisions made in recent years have made this a foregone conclusion. Take for instance, the decision to sign Robin Van Persie a couple of summers back. Then consider the decision to raise Wayne Rooney’s salary to £300k-a-week. Decisions such as these have held up Danny Welbeck’s career.

Then there’s Radamel Falcao. Now that the Colombian ace is a Manchester United player (for at least a season), there won’t be too much room for other strikers at Old Trafford. Players like Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney are likely to find it hard to compete. What chance would Welbeck have stood?

With Manchester United in the centre of a big shake-up, there were always going to be some cuts. Fan favourites were always going to be let go. The hope is that it’ll make The Red Devils stronger in the long-term.

One thing’s for sure: Arsenal have got their hands on a decent player. Yes, his goal-scoring record isn’t great, but there’s no doubting his talent. He’s great on the ball, he works extremely hard and he’s highly inventive. If he find his goal-scoring boots, then he’ll prove worthy of his £16m price-tag.

He could even go on to be as important to Arsenal as Daniel Sturridge currently is for Liverpool. The sad truth, however, is that this would never have been the case at Manchester United. If he had stayed, his career would have been affected.

With that in mind, it strikes me that this move has worked out well for every party. Let’s just hope that the Manchester United hierarchy don’t come to seriously regret their decision.

What’s your take? Were The Red Devils right to send Danny Welbeck packing?

some mau u fan say le him go and some let him go away
bu the issue is let u know the use of every thing even if its small try to adhere with it and give it chance to try its luck and stability like van persie he surffred many injuries but arsenal wenger never sold him until he scored his last goal in gooner heading to arsenal bringin falcao to manu is big deal but has he matched with the system
u would have left welbeck a person who had ability although falcao is more but wel beck had was copying up with lvg system (diamod system) and welbeck was to young to quit regarding his ability as wenger say good because his sytm suport him by pushing ball as god mid feilders
