Is This Arsenal’s Year?

Premier League TrophyThis Premier League season is turning out to be a right belter and it seems like almost any team can beat anyone on their day. Many of the top clubs have had too many upsets, allowing teams like Everton and the Saints to venture into the higher region of the league table.

We’re used to seeing the mighty Manchester United at the top of the league but with the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, it has all fallen out of place and the Red Devils are now 12 points below the Gunners.

Many will begin to point the finger at the new boss David Moyes as his introduction has been less than satisfactory, with a shaky looking defence and an all-round weak looking squad. This was highlighted in their 1-0 loss to an outstanding Everton side on Tuesday night. I bet Moyes is regretting the move now, as the Toffees sit 5 points above them!

Don’t rule out United from the title race just yet, as any football fan should know that when they are in a sticky situation, they always find a way to fight. Nevertheless, it does seem to be slipping from the grasp more and more as the weeks go on and it seems like they’ll have to win almost every game to stand a chance of yet more glory.

Take nothing away from Arsenal though, as this season they are deservedly placed in pole position thanks to some stunning performances and, dare I say it, look like a title winning side. With the likes of Ozil, Wilshere and the in-form Ramsey, their one touch flowing football looks like it can unlock any team’s defence. But will they be able to carry on their incredible form during the rest of the season? We’ll have to wait and find out!

We also need to give credit to the two Mersey side teams of Liverpool and Everton. They have played some great football this season and will be hoping to keep up the good form and grab a Champions League place. If you want to see any of Suarez’s 4 goals against Norwich on Tuesday night then check out the link below.

With Chelsea and Man City probably having the best squads in the league, they look like they are capable of causing concerns for Arsenal come the end of the season. But will Arsenal be able to stay on top?

Soon I’ll be doing Christmas League table predictions and need some of your views for the final standings, so please comment below with your predictions.
