Lukas Podolski: Arsenal’s most mysterious figure. Despite performing well all season and having a telling effect on almost every game he has featured in, the German doesn’t seem to be in favour at the Emirates.
Arsene Wenger doesn’t seem to trust him. There has to be some reason why he spends most of the time on the bench and hardly ever plays a full 90 minutes.
It’s got so bad that his future has even been called into question. The same is true for Gervinho, whose inconsistency may cost him his place at Arsenal.
And with Theo Walcott angling for a centre-forwards role and Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain destined for a role in the centre-of-the-park, I wouln’t be surprised if Arsenal started competing for a new winger during the summer transfer window.
Which brings me to Barcelona’s own Cristian Tello. Of all the players Arsenal have been linked to, I can’t help put feel like the young attacking talent is one of the most exciting. After all, he’s amongst a small list of players who could kick on and become world-beaters.
It takes genuine talent to make a mark at Camp Nou when you’re just 21-years-old. But Tello has talent in spades. The Spaniard has already featured 32 times for Barcelona and has grabbed 10 goals along the way.
His quick feet, speed of thought and attacking mindset make him a constant threat down the flanks. He’s very much a flair player – someone who can take players on and wreck havoc throughout opponent defences.
I think he’d be ideal for Arsenal, who could use somebody who can unlock a defense when things are tight.
Best of all, he comes with an Arsene Wenger-baiting price-tag. Apparently his release clause is set at just £8.4m – a startlingly low figure for a player with so much potential. His value could easily double, or triple over the course of his next contract if he continues to develop as he is. (Source: El Mundo Deportivo)
And this move would have the side-effect of frustrating Barcelona – no bad thing!
Arsenal’s main priority this summer should be signing a striker, but supplementing this by bringing in Tello would be a good move. It may even be enough to help Arsenal to challenge for silverware next season. And if it forces Gervinho out, then I’ll consider it a double victory.

Yea am in support of tello playing in arsenal; infact that is the perfect club for tello to play.and as an arsenal fan I will prefer tello to villa.
That will be a great signing for arsenal bcuz tello has an exceptional talent as a winger that no one in arsenals current team does not have and he will go a long way to help arsenal to challenge for a title like u said. I love this guy as a player bcuz he can become a world class player one day nd I want it for arsenal. Should wenger sign him? I will be the happiest fan during this summer.

Except he is a cule and getting time already (as well as producing) in the first team. Why would he want to go to Arsenal? Makes no sense whatsoever
