How an internet scam fed the obsession with proving Rangers’ ‘guilt’:

Just like the emails from a so-called king in an African country pleading to the desperate masses to send money which he will repay with gifts of gold and silver, the rangerstaxcase came along and every fool trolling the internet looking for a free lunch bought into what was essentially an internet scam. The story became truth for the lynch mob that circled Rangers and threw a rope around a branch of the nearest tree ready to hang the club without trial.

Somebody should have told them if something seems too good to be true then it probably is. The rangerstaxcase has hung around Ibrox like a stalking horse. It served its purpose of obscuring the facts, but in doing so has miscalculated and based its reputation on one outcome – in hope rather than fact.

The truth; that Rangers were innocent and that the tax scheme operated by Rangers was legal, has exposed the rangerstaxcase as nothing more than a dangerous rant, and not as we were led to believe, a search for the truth. It now seems that Rangers do not owe every man, woman and child in Scotland £20, and are not responsible for closing hospitals.

What is happening now is that the stalker is now being stalked. The roles have been reversed and Rangers and their fans are now trolling the internet picking up the self-confessions of the angry mob. Rangers’ fans believe that criminal activity may have taken place as the HMRC case against Rangers appeared on the internet on a regular basis, and there is an e-petition on the go to try and out the source of this information, which they believe, possibly deliberately, came from within HMRC. They want rangerstaxcase outed as well. The people who ran this website challenged Rangers very existence, but are now hiding behind their curtains afraid to answer the knock at the door.

The rangerstaxcase has been deleted from the internet. Those that ran it are hastily trying to cover their tracks and it is only a matter of time until they start turning on each other. We shall wait and see if the awards such as the 2012 Orwell awarded to this scam will disappear too. Will the RTC be stripped of this title?

One thing is certain; Scotland will never be the same place again. A country that once prided itself on Scot’s Law has been shown to be an intolerant place where the basic rule of innocent until proven guilty was ignored in the case of Rangers Football Club.

If therangerstaxcase tells us anything it is that people are easily fooled. Give people what they want and they will lap it up. People wanted to believe Rangers were guilty and therangerstaxcase fed this obsession.

Rangers are going through the healing process and the news that the club has won the First Tier Tax case was the all-clear the patient had been waiting to hear from the doctor. The club can now go from strength to strength in the knowledge that they have the best support in Scotland and that at least there are some of us who don’t believe everything we read on the internet. But just in case please send your bank details to Cyberted@howstupidareyoutobelieveeverythingyoureadontheinternet.

just a shame rangers fans did fek all to save their club and treated MBB like a king .

  • cybertedsmammy says:

another one of CTs less than truthful rants
RTC CLOSED its site months ago…. as the job it set out to do was completed.
RTC ASLO stated that Rangers (I L) would have a reduced tax bill and would be found not guilty of owing the FULL amount.

Really Ted, you need to focus on the FACTS!! all yer doing is making a chunt o yerself

and talking about SCAMS~~~~ It appears ANOTHER shyster is about to launder his ill gotten gains in Sevco~~~~ what is it about this quintessential
debt ridden club that can ONLY attract Spives / Shysters / Money Launderers and NOT ONE honest businessman

    From to-days quintessential Daily Ranger..

A TYCOON who served time in jail for a £1.5million VAT scam is being courted as a possible investor in Rangers.

Ex-con Sandy Easdale, now boss of a bus company, was given a guided tour of Ibrox and the club’s Murray Park training complex by Charles Green himself on Monday.

Easdale was jailed for 27 months in 1997 for a VAT fraud involving computer parts.

He was also convicted of selling stolen components. The judge ruled he made £1.5million.

“Oldco” Rangers were plunged into administration in February after owner Craig Whyte failed to pay millions of pounds in PAYE and VAT bills.

A Rangers spokesman made it clear last night that the Ibrox hierarchy are relaxed about Easdale’s criminal history.

He said: “We are fully aware of Mr Easdale’s past and take the view that this was a long time ago. He served his time and paid his debt.

“Our view of Mr Easdale is that he is a respected figure in Scottish business circles and an employer of 1000 people across the country.

    “He also likes his football.

“Many faces from the business community are expressing an interest in investing in Rangers.”

Easdale, 44, the boss of McGill’s Bus Services and other businesses, was photographed laughing and joking with brother James and others on the steps at the main entrance to Ibrox on Monday afternoon.

The club spokes-man said: “Mr Easdale was one among a number of potential investors who were given a guided tour of facilities by Mr Green.

“The group were given a presentation by Mr Green on Monday morning.”

A source close to Rangers said Easdale was not being viewed as a “potential large investor” and had yet to decide whether to get involved.

Easdale was jailed at Croydon Crown Court in south London in 1997.

Customs investigators found stolen computer parts at his scrapyard in Greenock and uncovered a VAT scam which spread all over Britain.

It’s understood he served 18 months of his sentence.

After his release, Easdale continued to build his business empire. He ploughed cash into Greenock-
based McGill’s, now one of Scotland’s fastest-growing independent bus companies.

Scotland’s Traffic Commissioner has deemed him a fit and proper person to run a bus firm.

Easdale also listed himself at Companies House in 2010 as a director of Arranglen Ltd, a holding company for Inverclyde Taxis, who have the £2million-a-year cab contract for Glasgow Airport.

He said in 2010: “The conviction was almost 14 years ago. I run two very successful businesses and have nothing to be ashamed of.”

Easdale was not at his luxury home overlooking the Firth of Clyde yesterday.

RANGERS ARE INNOCENT OR SO WE KEEP BEING TOLD….

unless you take into consideration the 30 odd EBT cases which were deemed taxable, the tens of millions Whyte witheld for PAYE/VAT.

Rangers Board members also obstructed the investigation -including a shredding party of crucial documents- which began in 2004 and then wondered why it took so long to conclude.

    Yeah, Rangers are innocent…pfffffft

Spread enough lies and people will start to believe them

Rangers are GUILTY and this will be proven when 1, HMRC appeal the decision and the SPL commission prove the dual contracts broke SPL rules as these EARNINGS where part of appearance and bonus money and not simply loans as the MSM and the rest would have you believe.

Best article I’ve read relating to Rangers’ big tax case. Well done!

    • cybertedsmammy says:

      eeeeek~~~~~ one satisfied Sevcorian….
should really be stuffed & Mounted!!!!

      • George Thomson says:

The Rangers, The Glasgow Rangers, The True Blues, The Teddy Bears, The Sons of Walter, The Wee Arrow People, 54 and counting, 8-1.

  • Alan Douglas says:

Good to see the comments from the brainwashed obsessives proving the point of the article. Keep up the good work.

  • Alex Adams says:

If the RTC are innocent of all misdeeds why don’t they come forward and defend themselves? It appears obvious that they saw an opportunity to kill their rivals using criminal means. These were not your normal bigots but those that assume respectability in normal life but are in fact the opposite when using an alias!

    • George Thomson says:

Those that assume respectability in normal life is the definition of bitter Celtic fan that swallowed a dictionary … like yourself, Alex!

  • Paul says:

cyberted posts his usual juvenile nonsense. I wonder if cyberted has read the 145 Page document?

If he had, he would know rangers are far from innocent.

    • George Thomson says:

You read the 145 page document about Rangers?! Well done! I’m writing a 145 page article called ‘The Rise And Fall And Rise Again of Glasgow Rangers’ Would you like to read that also?

  • Jay says:

Rangers innocent of nothing! Appeals, VAT, Dual Contracts, stripped titles, an adminastration for Sevco, losses to awful teams! Have fun in 2013! Can’t wait till Charlie takes all your gullible asses £ and runs!

  • seamus says:

If Rangers were far from innocent what judgement went against them? errrrrrm…. none? Sort of throws that argument out the window paul, not that it was much of an argument, more a this is what I’d like.

The RTC was the holy grail for Rangers haters but it has been found out to be a blog for snake oil salesmen, nothing more, nothing less. As much as people(???) want us dead and gone we are still here, we are still here and retribution will be a nice cold dish.

  • Patrick says:

    Seamus (or is it William)

the deadco were guilty in some of the cases before the Tribunal. That makes them guilty. No ifs buts or maybes simply guilty.

Clear evidence was presented that payments were made in accordance with side letters. This should be enough to force the stripping of titles.

Justice, not the Zombie followers, will have the last laugh.

  • George Thomson says:

Patrick (or is it Dipstick) Any more brains, you would be a wit-half. Anyway, all you want is our titles ‘cos your club weren’t good enough to win them. WATP

    • Patrick says:

What is it in my simple observation that you don’t understand?

Guilty in some of the cases means guilty! This is the truth despite the fact that you continue to regard yourselves as the people you are no longer in the position of dominance in this country which you once occupied. Your time has passed.

Your team and all it stood for is unloved, unwanted and indeed despised by the majority of the people in Scotland.

      Roll on January.

      • George Thomson says:

Patrick, your team and all it stands for, is also despised but by the vast majority of people in Scotland. Your team and fans represents being pro-Irish Republican Catholic and anti-British Protestant. If your a Celtic fan and disagree with my reply then your a liar. Truth hurts.

  • Patrick says:

To quote from Celtic’s mission statement—

“To maximise all opportunities to disassociate the Club from sectarianism and bigotry of any kind. To promote Celtic as a Club for all people, regardless of gender, age, religion, race or ability”.

Is that clear enough for you you illiterate knuckledragger?

    • George Thomson says:

If that statement is a true, then you should disassociate yourself from the club, asap.

      • Patrick says:

Pease explain exactly what is a British Protestant?

When was the last time you darkened the door of a kirk? You and your ilk are an embarassment to the Church of Scotland.

        • George Thomson says:

          I don’t believe in God, I don’t believe in your club’s statement(it’s just a disclaimer)and i certainly don’t believe in anything you say.

  • Patrick says:

    I’ve got it now.

You are just an ignorant bigot!

    • George Thomson says:

I love Rangers so much that i place them above religion … If the pope owned Rangers i would still support them. Would you still support Celtic if they were owned by HM Queen? Don’t think so, ‘cos you’re just unreasonably prejudiced and intolerant towards my club.

  • Patrick says:

Please note Pope is spelled with a capital letter.

I don’t think Benedict will be buying any shares in the holding company. Incidentally what has the Queen got to do with you? She is apparently Fidei Defensor (that is the Protestant faith).

    Read it again

“To maximise all opportunities to disassociate the Club from sectarianism and bigotry of any kind. To promote Celtic as a Club for all people, regardless of gender, age, religion, race or ability”.

That’s my team’s approach. What’s yours? To appeal to the lowest common denominator in society.

    Enough said!

    • George Thomson says:

I see that the disclaimer…sorry, mission statement is not your cup of tea, patrick. (is it a capital ‘P’) You and your like believe your all squeaky clean and don’t like hearing the truth. You conveniently hide sectarianism behind a mask of so-called respectability.

  • Patrick says:

You were the one who introduced the bile by reference to pro-Irish Republican Catholic (the rest of your sentence didn’t make any sense).

The discussion is about whether the deadco broke football rules. In my view and the evidence supports this they did and should be punishhed accordingly.

    Read it again

“To maximise all opportunities to disassociate the Club from sectarianism and bigotry of any kind. To promote Celtic as a Club for all people, regardless of gender, age, religion, race or ability”.

    • George Thomson says:

I can’t put it any simpler, you’re trying to portray yourself as an intelligent and self-righteous Celtic fan but you don’t fool me. You hate Rangers with a vengeance because they’re the established club in Scotland and quintessentially British. P.S. Rule Britannia

  • Patrick says:

We’ve already established that depite your Protestant stance that you don’t believe in God.

Now can you please explain the “quintessentially British. P.S. Rule Britannia” nonsense?

    • George Thomson says:

Why do you call ‘Rule Britannia’ nonsense? I forgot … you’re anti-anything British. God Save The Queen

      • Patrick says:

You’re getting muddled. I don’t hate anyone or anything. That’s yourself you’re thinking about.

What’s that about the Queen I thought you didn’t believe in God.

This conversation which is now at an end just confirms my suspicions that you and your kind are full of empty meaningless slogans which you constantly repeat to one another fuelling the bitterness and hatred on which you appear to thrive and without which your lives are empty and pointless.

        God bless.

        • George Thomson says:

Your kind don’t like it when being found out! You are a bigot, pure and simple. You are obsessed about Rangers and it’s nothing whatsoever to do with football. Shame on you.

  • Patrick says:

    An appeal—–how can this be?

There should be a law against this type of thing. What is wrong wuth these people? Can they not take defeat on the chin and move on?

Obviously not—they must be confident of victory in the second leg.

    Quelle surprise!!

    • George Thomson says:

The bigot is still obsessed with Rangers. Get a life … there should be a law against your type. WATP
