Why Arsenal need this returning star now more than ever:

I think it’s fair to say that it’s a pretty bad time to be an Arsenal fan. A certain level of expectation has been built up over the years and by now it’s quite clear that this group of players don’t have the nous or the quality to live up to it. The Gunners look so far off the title race that most fans no longer believe this side will finish in the top four.

That could be the killing blow for Arsenal and Arsene Wenger, who had prided himself on guiding Arsenal to the Champions League for time immemorial.

There are clear problems with this Arsenal side and they’re deep rooted. Arsenal are a side that lack belief and character. They play like a team of individuals – individuals who have completely lost their way. The passing game doesn’t flow any more, there’s no cutting edge, no creativity, no real goal threat to speak of and the defence is as bad as ever.

Whilst most people point to Arsenal’s midfield as the Gunners’ strength (Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla – not too shabby) it’s clear that it has yet to really click. All the possession in the world doesn’t seem to be able to buy Arsenal a goal at the moment. And when Walcott/Giroud/Podolski (who will be off this January, or next Summer) does provide a spark and manage to provide Arsenal with a finish, they usually end up handing the game to the opposition in a fairly quick fashion.

That’s why it was really pleasing to see Tomas Rosicky appear in a recent photo shoot during a training session (photos via the official Arsenal site). Whilst Little Mozart has had his fair share of injury problems, he’s a player of some quality and character. That’s something Arsenal need at the moment. He could provide a spark and help inspire this Arsenal side.

There are ruminations that Rosicky could be available for Arsenal’s game against Tottenham next week. Those of you who remember the Czech’s performance against Spurs in last season’s 5-2 comeback, will surely be excited by the prospect.

His return will allow the likes of Santi Cazorla to take a well-earned rest and experience and passion to the side. He’s a great creative talent and may well find himself more on Olivier Giroud’s wavelength than the rest of the team – well, we can dream can’t we?

What’s your take? How important is Tomas Rosicky for Arsenal?

Gaston Ramirez is a Saints player, not Bologne!

Of them, I would take schweinsteiger at the drop of a hat above any others, just doubt he would leave germany

Well it’s pretty clear that arsenal is not the same as arsenal of 2004/2005 and we do understand .arsenal are very but, the are lucking striking n the never shot from distance just like ages ago

Everybody remembers that Tottenham performance very well indeed as it is one of the few times Rosicky has had a decent run of games in his entire Arsenal career. This guy should definatlely be paid per appearance.

Arsenal is nowhere as a contender for the top four now, that admittance, and even from the manager himself, shows what “AMBITIONS, THE PROFESSOR” has got as inside his heart (FYI: we are not the Title Contenders anymore). It sucks and frustrate now, that he is running the club for only and only financial reasons, rather than pure footballing reasons.
Arsenal is a club that is known to the world for footballing reasons and not as a money making machine. He is an economist, yet fails to get a simple enough logic in his head right, that when you have the best players at your disposal and with the wining mentality, and also wining trophies every year, money is there anyways. He wants to take the club to a position, where fans out of their desperation ask for Wenger SACK QUIT”, so he quits easily leaving his maters with a healthy bank balances, and the FANS with SCRATCHING HEADS over the Arsenal future.
There is something SERIOUSLY WRONG at Arsenal at the moment, and it is going to explode and may turn the club into a disaster. No spirit among the players, no mentality to win, no desire to do well, it’s not what we are used to looking at Arsenal players in the past. In fact I would like to say that players are so CONFUSED in their HEADS or MADE CONFUSED, that they seems to act on the pitch like there is no reason why they are on the pitch, like there are too much opines and they could not make up their mind.
IT’S TIME TO SPEAK UP OR IT’LL BE TOO LATE
