All of Europe’s elite clubs are reported to be interested in signing Neymar, but the Brazilian superstar has no intention of leaving boyhood club Santos just yet. Although he has stated that he would like to move eventually, saying that he has a dream to play in Europe.

All of this speculation about his future leads to three questions: When will he finally leave? Who will sign the elusive Brazilian? How much will he cost?

Firstly, let’s look at why every club in the world wants to sign him. Neymar has shown that he is a fantastic forward and can score goals at any level.

Neymar’s goal scoring record speaks for itself. The striker has scored 17 goals in 27 appearances for Brazil, including a tremendous solo finish against Columbia on Wednesday, but more astonishingly he has scores over 100 goals in just over 200 appearances for Brazilian side, Santos. So it is clear that the Brazilian can score goals, but what else can he do?

Neymar is one of the most technically gifted players in the current era. He is able to play in a variety of positions using his energetic pace to cause defenders all sorts of problems. The 20 year old attacker is a world-wide phenomenon and when he moves to Europe it will be clear for the world to see. He is very similar to Ronaldo and Messi in regards to pace, skill and dribbling and has the ability to succeed in any team, at any level.

Take a look for yourself at what Neymar is capable of:

Neymar has been dismissing transfer speculation for the last couple of seasons, but I think that if he really wants to further his career, then he will move next season. He has had a fantastic time at Santos, but he is too good for the Brazilian league and will be much happier in one of the more competitive European leagues. Which one and for which team, only Neymar himself will really know. But I doubt it will be much longer before we all find out.

When considering the amount that Neymar will cost in transfer fees it is important to compare similar players who have been in similar situations. By looking at the sales of other Brazilian youngsters such as Oscar, Lucas and Pato it is clear that the sum is going to be big. These three players cost £25m, £40m and £20m to prize away from their local Brazilian sides, respectively. However, as it seems that Neymar is an even more talented player and wanted by more clubs, then the fee is likely to be higher. Any of the top elite European teams can afford to spend this amount of money on Neymar, but who would be willing to do so?

With the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus all reportedly interested, then a bidding war may occur. No one knows how much Neymar will go for, but in the current market place (with teams paying £35 for Andy Carroll), I think it’s fair to say that it’s going to be a lot. (Source: Daily Mail).

I would personally like to see Neymar make a big money move to Chelsea and come to the Premier League. He would fit perfectly with Chelsea’s new 4-2-3-1 formation and would benefit immensely playing in front of Mata, Oscar and Hazard. I also see Chelsea as a leading contender to buy the striker as they will be keen to purchase a new forward as they only have misfiring Torres up front at the moment. He would embrace the Premier League and be able to show the world what he is capable of at the highest level.

Where would you like to see Neymar go, any why? Do you think he would suit Chelsea, and more importantly, would he move to the European champions?
