There’s no better way to announce yourself than to grab a hat-trick on your debut game. A lot of pressure is placed on young players nowadays. If they don’t perform, there are sure to be a number of others waiting to grab their place in the team. The best way to combat this is to work hard and play your natural game.

In Jurgen Locadia’s case, his natural game involves absolutely roasting the opposition and stunning the fans. At just 18-years-old, the PSV Eindhoven managed to bag a sensational hat-trick. It’s little wonder that he has, according to CalcioMercato, managed to grab the attention of Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers.

After all, Liverpool look set to struggle when it comes to scoring goals this season. Despite having the most presence in the Reds’ squad, Andy Carroll was shipped off on loan to West Ham and no replacement was brought in.

I get that Carroll is inconsistent and that he has largely disappointed since joining Liverpool. But hasn’t Carroll shown enough at a young age to suggest he could have offered the Reds a viable plan B? He’s absolutely unbeatable in the air, and has shown signs that he’s returning to his best form. Obviously he’s still learning, but wouldn’t Liverpool be the best place for him to complete his education?

But this article isn’t about Andy Carroll. It’s about the way the club should seek to make amends for their mistakes in last transfer market. In this regard, I think Jurgen Locadia would make for a smart purchase.

Yes, he’s only just broken into the PSV team, but he has already grabbed four goals in four appearances for the senior side. There’s no doubting his status as a real prospect. He’s got a confidence in front of goal that seems adverse to his age and display excellent movement. He’s always keen to get on the ball and I think these attributes would help him to fit in well at Liverpool.

So whilst he’s got no experience at the top level, it’s clear he’ll end up at the top eventually. So why shouldn’t the Reds snap him up whilst he’s still cheap?

I don’t claim that he’d be a short-term solution to Liverpool’s problems this season. But in the long-term, Locadia could end up being a real sensation. Wouldn’t Brendan Rodgers kick himself if he let this opportunity pass him by?

What’s your take? Should Liverpool snap up Locadia, or do they have bigger fish to fry?

Jamie “Hoofer” Carragher is the perfect answer to Liverpool’s scoring woes. Yes, you heard right. It is Liverpool’s very own Jamie Carragher, the only CB in the world with the dubious distinction of having scored the most number of goals… own goals that is. This technically- and tactically-inept footballer is a natural when it comes to putting the ball into the net. He will be a constant menace and is absolutely certain to cause endless chaos and panic for both oppositions and team mates alike. Football fans the world over must surely not only take off their hats, but their briefs too for this so-called footballer. Jamie Carragher… what a footballer… what an embarrassment.

Clyde your the embarrassment clearly your not an Lfc fan he is Liverpool through and through you don’t get many players like that. Sure he has gone of the boil but think back to 05 champions league final he took his body past its limit. Surely that in itself is a testament and enough to make him a legend forever. You fucking Bellend people like you piss me off.
