Premier League Predictions 2012/13: Man City top, Arsenal to miss out on Champions League thanks to Tottenham

|

12) Sunderland:
Sunderland are in desperate need of reaching for their wallets and buying some stars in order to make improvements from last season. This is because their top scorer last season was Bedtner with 8 goals. That’s right BEDTNER. Don’t expect much from them but they have enough quality to stay out of trouble.

13) Swansea:
They showed us a great display of talent last season even surprising Man. City, shocking the league. However, it will be hard for the Swans to maintain their performances as clubs will know what to expect. With the exit of Brendan Rodgers to Liverpool and big names leaving for greater success, things aren’t looking good for their second season in the EPL.

14) Norwich:
Another team to surprise everyone last season were new boys Norwich City. They along with Swansea were recognised for their attractive style of play and team spirit. The key to a great season will be by keeping their star striker and Captain Grant Holt. He holds the ball up well, has skill on the ball and is one of the most powerful headers of the ball in the league.

15) Reading:
The Royals has certainly been spending in the transfer market, buying some great players on free transfers. Brian McDermott understood that he needed to make improvements to the squad in order to survive and that’s exactly what he’s done. The singings of Pobgrebnyak, Guthrie and the return of Shorey will help immensely and hopefully the can establish themselves as Premier League club.

16) West Ham:
They were lucky to beat Blackpool in the Play-Off final and will be hoping to secure a better finish than 16th but I think it’s highly unlikely. Vaz Te will play a major part this season but I still feel they need to dive into the market and buy, buy, buy if they want to finish in a respectable position.

17) Aston Villa:
A few years ago Villa were in the Europa Cup places, even fighting for a Champions League place, but now after their best players have left for better opportunities,  it looks mainly doom and gloom for the Midlands club. To add to the disappointment, star player N’Zogbia wants out of the club and will probably move in the next few years. Aston Villa is a renowned Premier League club and it would be sad to see a club like them, with the history they’ve, to go down into the lower divisions.

18) QPR:
This season could be touch or go for them. We have seen them diving into the transfer market buying unsung hero Ji-Sung and many others. These could be great singings and they could possibly finish around mid-table but I don’t think they can push their team out from the bottom of the league.  Their survival in the league last season went down right to the wire, but has their luck run out?

19) Wigan:
Wigan always look the favourites to be heading down but incredibly manage to work miracles and work their way to safety but this season the quality of teams are incredible. I was originally going to place Wigan in the “wooden spoon” position but they always seem to get vital results against the bigger teams when it counts.

20) West Brom:
No doubt that West Brom play great football but they just don’t have those star players capable of changing a game. We will definitely get to see how much character is in the squad when the times are tough. The Bookies have placed West Brom to finish about 13th t season, whether their right were have to wait and see.

What we know for sure is that the 2012/13 season will be another great, tense, spectacular and shocking season. As the countdown begins we all sit in front of the TVs waiting in anticipation, watching out for new signings, young guns and Balotelli’s tantrums.
