Is David Beckham really too old for England?

Roger Federer wins Wimbledon at 30 years of age beating a 25 year old, Serena Williams wins Wimbledon at 30 beating a 23 year old. Ryan Giggs is playing first team for Manchester United, Michael Schumacher is 41 and still racing in Formula 1, the list is endless.
Age is nothing but a number many people say, it’s no truer than what Wimbledon this year showed us as one of many examples, so i find it a disgustingly troubled decision from Stuart Pearce
David Beckham, is 37 but still plays at high standard and is still far to good for the MLS, maybe he now regrets not moving to Paris-St Germain in the winter, if he did move would he be in the GB Squad?
I really do believe he would and i believe he would pretty much play every match for Paris-St Germain.
So because of MLS Beckham one of national icon status is not included in the Olympics, an event which he played a gig part in getting to England and to add insult to injury it’s in his old stomping ground of East London.

Beckham still has talent, he is leaps above other players in MLS and judging by the intrest from Tottenham and once again Paris-St Germain other people agree

There is no one more patriotic than Beckham, he wears his heart on his sleeve he would die representing his country, can you imagine if our young players are down in a match looking lost and out of ideas, they turn and see Beckham next to them shouting inspirational words, encouraging them to the point of being a different player for the rest of the game this i believe our former captain would quite comfortably be able to do, wheres Giggs is a fantastic footballer he dosen’t have the voice David Beckham has, he has the most caps for england from an outfield player, 115 and has huge experenice in major tournaments, which surely is a big postive to bring someone like that to your home olympics?

I could go about this forever and in more detail but for now i’m going to struggle to support Stuart Pearce and his team strongly this summer.
Oh and Beckham’s replacement, Micah Richards, Hmmm….

What is all this fantasy about David Beckham being some world star. He achieved next to nothing on a football pitch since 2002. He is far more interested in money and image than playing at a high level and before anyone strts this rubbish about what a wonderful dead ball expert blah blah. Greece at old Trafford blah blah this is the same player who missed three vital penalties in matches against Turkey, France and Portugal in 2003/4. Certainly not a world star, they achieve things.
