Would this Juventus star be too big a risk at Liverpool?

Speculation is increasing that Milos Krasic could be on his way to Liverpool as Kenny Dalglish looks for a spark to boost his side’s Champions League bid. Liverpool, despite spending millions in the summer, are increasing losing pace on the top 4 and may have to settle for a Europa League spot, which could see certain players move on to seek pastures new. Daglish is thought to be ready to table an offer for the Serbian, but only a loan deal as he feels Juventus’ evaluation is over the top.

The 27 year old winger has fallen out of favour with Juventus and his agent has been touting him to clubs all over Europe. Krasic has only made a single appearance since October and Juventus are keen to move him on which has interested many clubs including parties in England and in Russia, where Krasic previously spent 6 years of his career.

Signing Krasic would be a huge gamble for Kenny Dalglish, who perhaps should not risk such a move due to the failures of his recent ventures into the transfer market. King Kenny has spent over £100m on new players since his return to Anfield, with the majority of them being largely unsuccessful. These transfer included Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson, who have failed to ignite the Kop with passion and excitement, more often than not it has been frustration and anger.

Perhaps Dalglish feels he needs to make such a signing and offer something new to the Liverpool starting XI. Does he really need to? Especially with a player that hasn’t played first team football for a while and has no experience in English football, such a transfer could create a huge backlash if it fails and may possibly end up with Dalglish leaving Liverpool. His time is better spent concentrating on those he already has and getting the best out of them.

Such an experienced and legendary player should be able to support these two signings that have so far been unsuccessful. They both have the ability while also having the potential to improve in the future but to achieve this faith must be kept in them and support must be given. If Dalglish gives up, then it could really hurt these player’s careers.

Also, the last Serbian to play for Liverpool had a torrid time. Milan Jovanovic did not enjoy his spell at Liverpool and neither did the fans. However, this is more likely to put off the player rather than the club. Krasic may feel it is not the best move for him, he himself has said he would much prefer to stay in Italy which is the best option for everyone involved.

Liverpool don’t need a player that could prove to be such a risk, no player is a guaranteed success and even the big sometimes flop as he have seen on many occasions before. Liverpool need to be careful not to risk further failures in the transfer market, it could cost them dearly financial while also damaging their reputation. It is clear though that Liverpool need something different, someone new that can create a buzz around the club. Milos Krasic is not that player and if Liverpool do decide to go for a player in the last few days of this window, Krasic is not the sort of risk that should be taken.

I understand what you are saying in this article and agree that Krasic would be a risk if we were to spend big money on him but if it’s a loan signing as stated on most of the websites then i’d welcome him with open arms.

He’s performance for Juventus this season has been non existent but we all know how good this player is when he’s attacking … he’s got the skills and very very fast – Something the team is crying out for.
