Surely the Arsenal angry-mob have taken it too far?

So we currently sit 15th in the Premier League after just 7 games, injuries aplenty, under par performances and poor form – what are we Arsenal  fans to do?

Well the majority would get behind the team and management, whilst some, the minority, would pile even more unwanted pressure on the club.

At this point you’re probably asking yourself what the hell am I going on about. Well, I recenlty read in the The Mirror that a group of disgruntled Gooners plan to flag up their anger at Arsene Wenger  and the squad when the Gunners host Sunderland at the Emirates next Sunday…really?

A new protest group, which go by the name of ArsenalFCnotPLC, will reportedly vent their annoyance and frustration during the Sunderland game next weekend by hanging up banners around the stadium in order to make their ‘cause’ more visible.

A displeased Arsenal season ticket holder, Chris Adsett, believes the time has come for Arsene Wenger to call it a day:

He was quoted in the Sunday Mirror saying:

‘Put simply it is not good enough for Arsenal.’

‘We are on a downward spiral and this needs to be addressed.’

‘Arsenal fans love and admire Wenger for what he has done, but that was then, this is now. We need a new face and new impetus, and soon.’

Listen, I can understand the fans frustration, but what’s the point of protesting for? What will it really achieve? Nothing. If anything it will only pile more pressure on a team that already is short on confidence.

But this is not to say that I don’t feel this minority’s frustration. I can’t put into words how upset and pissed I am to see my beloved Arsenal in the bottom half of the Premier League table…I just haven’t come to terms with it.

I believe things must change, mainly in the form of tactics and system, but you have to remember that we are without a lot of key players, which have undoubtedly hindered us – not to mention bad calls from referees.

Undoubtedly, Wenger and the Arsenal board have a lot to answer for and as fans we deserve to know what the hell is going on with our club, especially as we pay a hell of a lot of money to go see our team perform and see little outcome. However, a protest is not the way to go in my book.

Hopefully this angry mob will change their mind on their remonstration by Next Sunday.

  • I AGREE WITH YOU TOTALLY. All those of you who don’t support Arsene, please please don’t do it, he does not deserve it at all. He has done a lot for the club and will continue to do so. He deserves more respect than you intend to show him on Sunday. Now is the time to back him and the players. You will only be harming your team, they are low on self-belief, so fans should lift them up and build their confidence, not kill it for them!!! Don’t act like small team supporters.

what a crap article !! do you pay for a season ticket? do you go to any games? then you will know ticket prices have risen, our best players sold, and up until the utd game the club where not going to buy reinforcements for the loss of world class players, instead we get humilliated at utd then the club go into panic mode, we end up buying players and no disrespect to them who are ending their careers, and are not even in the same league as nasri, clichy, fabregas, regards your comment we have loads out injured lets get to grip on this point wenger and idiot gazidis claim we have quality in the team, well quality would be seen week in and out that is when you can claim we have quality, it is different to do training then playing a football match there is where you prove quality, our squad has no depth, it is weak, where as retrospect these players should be ready to jump into a players shoes if he is injured, what has been clearly shown we dont have the quality, or the players to do that, so stop making excuses about injuries we get that from the other idiot with his excuses these players are pro and should be able to step up and they have not, i am supporting this protest because the team we have we will be fighting relegation season after season wenger gives the same ole verbal diahroea this season we will be fighting for trophies i truly beleive we can do it for the past six years we have heard this, and it is the same every season, there is also another saying you pay for what you get that has been shown by the purchases we have, and the results, we have idiots in the board kroenke has no clue about football it is ok to talk about self sustaining but every buisness man knows you have to spend to re-cooperate instead wenger has time after time bought kids the only exception to the rule is chamberlain he is the best buy of the summer, when you look at the record of purchases from wenger you will find not many of them have made the mark only fab and nasri clichy have shown they reached the grade so as to your article look at everything because this club is going backwards so fast it will take years for anybody to put it right, they are tryig to buy suceess on the cheap sorry folks that does not work, and just to finsih gazidis comments last week, we are not concerned if we dont reach the champions league this year, what does that show the team and its supporters? it clearly shows a lack of desire for succeess, the week before he made this stupid comment, we want to build a bigger fan base, and build success on the pitch, wait a minute we may have a lovely stadium, but if we are relegated we will not fill it meaniing lack of revenue, by not being in the champions league is lack of revenue, so tell me what does that tell you? it clearly shows by the comments made success is clearly not on the cards, i will be supporting this protest a club we love support and pay good money to watch a mediocore team that could not barely beat shrewsbury, sorry mate, protest is the only way weneger, gazidis and kroenke need to leave and leave now they have killed our club with a philosophy that may make money to line their pockets but it wont bring the top players to arsenal because we will be seen as a selling club and a club with no desire to compete, maybe you should look at the quotes of gazidis then look at the transfers bought in then look at the results tell me what do you think/ it is clear to everyone else.

I cannot believe some fans still believe in AW! We are spiralling down (the same as AW did with Monaco before he got booted out) The anti-Wenger people are far from a minority in fact I now know noone who will shed a tear when he goes/ get the boot…. Anti Wenger fans are not a small minority!

You cannot sit on the fence FCC! You cannot change a leopard’s spots!
Diamond Dave may not have the command of English Grammar but I understand his emotions!
Just look at the quality of players we are linked with and who we purchased at the last minute says it all about our club and where it’s heading!
Everybody was saying let’s wait to the end of August as Wenger will sort it out, well has he?
    The answer is no!!
What are the reasons for failure? Simply put Wenger has not gone the extra mile to purchase players who are fit to wear the Arsenal shirt!
What can I personally do about it? nothing much but I have a right to moan about it!
I’ll go to watch every match whether Wenger is manager or not, as I do, but will I be sad if he went? No I would not!

To all the anti Arsene wankers crying like children with wet knickers.
I say take the short ride over to Tottenham and become a Spud.

You are FANS, not football players or managers.
You do not know to to run or finance a football club.

This is a short blip in Arsenal’s history.I was fan when Arsenal was B O R I N G. I never screamed to out the manager.

The internet has spawned twats with too much time on their hands to post effluent.

    Go Gunners.

To the idle misfits, SOD OFF.

  • B.C. says:

    yes totally agree…
the players will look at the banners and become all butt hurt of Arsene and then another loss to the team will put them almost in the bottom three…. the protesters are being negligent about the whole picture in whats going on in the club. Be lucky im not in North London when the protesters come cuz ill be on the war path against those f@gg0ts
