Does this man deserve a second chance at Liverpool?

This isn’t the first time that this question has been asked and in all likelihood it wont be the last: Would Liverpool fans take Fernando Torres back? Is he permanently blacklisted or would they be willing to take him back into the fold? Consider this: Fernando’s poor form (or at least his goal-allergy) continues until January, or even the summer. Chelsea are desperate to get him off the wage bill and are willing to let him go at a cut price.

If Kenny could oversee a deal for Torres for under £20m would you be happy or at least content to see him back at the club? Of course this is all conjecture, but it’s interesting in the sense that it’s an acid-test for fan feeling when it comes to ‘Nando’.

Besides, it may sound crazy, but who would have predicted Craig Bellamy’s second stint before the fact?

Perhaps you’ll say that if Chelsea are looking to get rid of him then he’s simply not Liverpool quality. Perhaps you’ll say that he’s burnt his Liverpool bridges and simply isn’t welcome back at the club. Are you happy to have Andy Carroll at the club instead of Torres?

As for the first complaint, could it not just be that Torres doesn’t fit into the Chelsea system? That he’s not receiving the kind of service he likes? I can’t help but wonder if Nando’s career would be spurred back into life if he got the opportunity to play alongside the likes of Luis Suarez and receive service from Steven Gerrard once more (please ignore the awkward phraseology there).

Suarez may have proved that Torres wasn’t irreplaceable, but isn’t the thought of the two players lining up together too good to pass up? On his best days he’s still one of the world’s best strikers and you get the feeling that if he were to find his confidence again it wouldn’t be too long until his form returned and the goals started flowing.

He may have a reputation for being a ‘mercenary’ around Anfield, but if he wanted to come back and right the wrongs of the past, wouldn’t you want to give him one more chance?

No I would not! That piece of slimiest shite ever to leave a woman’s womb is not worthy of wearing the red shirt ever again. How on earth could we ( or Kenny)ever trust him not to bail on us again if and when we hit an rough patch? He burned all bridges when he asked for the transfer to plastics.

at £20Million, I’d have Torres back in the blink of an eye.

Suarez was bought to partner Torres, and their partnership would be one of the most feared in the premier league.

I reckon the liklihodd of it happening is less than 2/10 though!!

Please let this happen !!! Come home Torres !!!

  • Mike Roberts says:

We all make mistakes and we all have to forgive. Torres back in the Red of LFC ….. Even he wouldn’t say no to that…… And neither would a fan poll.

I am not so sure if I would want him back or not because of the way he left us putting in a transfer request with just days of the transfer window left. You could tell he wanted out months before hand because of the way he was playing he just didn’t want to be there any more. As much as I would love to see him playing with Suarez he betrayed us all and I don’t think I could forgive him for that.

no fcuking way, after all he is now Fernando Traitors let him stay at chelski and rot!!

  • Horia says:

No fuckin’ way ! He doesn’t deserve to wear the red shirt anymore. Did you forget how eager he was to let everyone know that he never kissed the Liverpool badge? Not to mention that apart from the first season, with 33 goals, he was half the player we loved so much. Let him rot on Chelsky bench. Or in Segunda Division. Who cares ?

A criminal if get second chance to be a person with small support then he can make things count but this myan Torres is the myan with real talent. I bet as many money as anyone want he will make us comeback to the top four. We were lucky that he couldnt play as many game and we get many chance of buying him in less money than we sold.
