What do Arsenal do with Nasri now?

|

In Nasri, Arsenal have a player with undoubted potential yet the ability to infuriate. In the recent friendly with Boca at the Emirates Cup he went missing all together. Is this a sign of things to come? Or is this the same unmotivated out of form Nasri we saw at the end of last season.

The press are calling Arsenal stupid for keeping him and possibly losing out on a £20 million transfer fee. But with Fabregas’ likely departure, if Nasri was to leave as well Arsenal would be left very short creatively and there doesn’t seem to be many players around that could replace either with similar quality for similar money.

If Arsenal do sell Nasri to Man City as the press report and Fabregas to Barca, what would happen to Arsenal next season? They could seriously run the risk of not qualifying for the Champions League in 2012-2013 and risk losing the £20 million minimum TV rights and gate receipts.

Some people will point out that with the current squad Arsenal have been predicted to finish outside the top four by many papers, however if history is anything to go by, Arsene Wenger will get them into the Champions league yet again and prove the critics wrong.

In my humble opinion Arsenal should keep hold of Nasri until a replacement has been found. As to lose Nasri and Fabregas without suitable replacements would be committing Hari Kari.

What do you think? Should Arsenal keep Nasri? Or does he need to go? Who would you replace him with if he was to go?

Nasri will be very hard to replace and there are very few ready made replacements for 20 million but i would suggest there is little hope of replacing him for nothing thats what we get at the end of the season, when we will have no choice but to buy someone bite the bullet now , he is already showing signs of protecting himself in the little efforts he has made during pre-season

Arsenal may get nothing at the end of the season but if they do sell Nasri and Fabregas and then don’t qualify for the Champions League it will cost a lot more than £20 in lost revenue….

So we keep Nasri this season, cancel the 20mil by qualifying for 2012/2013 CL, BUT still lose him anyways!!Any suggestions as to what happens next in 2012/2013…..IDIOT!!!

opp…let him go. why we arsenal? a one of the biggest club in the world but a little kid tryn to ruin our plans?

  • Nick TG says:

of course very bad to lose cesc and nasri, and yes not qualifying to CL will cost the club lots but there is no guarantee that Nasri staying will ensure qualification.what if he does his knee and misses 6months?no player is worth 20m a season (except maybe messi and ronaldo).tell him to sign a new contract before Sat KO(we sld offer him big pay rise with cesc sale money)or he can piss off (ideally out of EPL).If we sell cesc and nasri for eur60m (and sell bendtner,Eboue, almunia, eastmond for another eur16m)and spend that on Falcao (30m), Mertersaker,Subotic,Huth, cahill or samba (20m) and Parker (6m) we would be a more balanced team with 20m cash to go to improving current player contracts like RVP.

I think nasri want 2 leave arsenal by all cost,so wenger should let him go bcos his heart is no more with d team. Wenger knows hw 2 get a better player that can handle the mid field better than nasri. We arsenal fans wish him best of luck if he eventualy leaves.

  • badmus says:

i would suggest that arsenal should sell nasri in time provided that arsenal sign one defender and one experience mildfider like juan mata.

  • Jacko says:

Arsene has seriously lost the plot, why would you keep hold of a player that is unmotivated and doesn’t want to be in the team when we’re being offered 20 million plus for him. What kind of effect is that gonna have on the rest of the team??

  • Olami Naija says:

Nasri is not as great as either Ljunberg or Bobby Pires were in there times at Arsenal. I absolutely have no fear at all nor worry about Sammy leaving. We were not as worse as the years he has so far spent with us. Moreover, mark my words, we are selling him for more than 20 million cool Pounds. No one player is bigger than Arsenal.

  • steve chilcott says:

So we don’t sell Fabregas and Nasri so they can help us into the group stages, at the risk of a potential £60 million ? Small problem Nasri is ban for the first leg and Fabregas is not match fit so will not start either,we should have spent some money before now and brought in quality experienced midfielders and a partner for Vermarlin not spend 12 million on a 17yr kid with lge 1 experience , if Cesc wanted to stay fair enough but its clear he doesnt , Nasri the same sign a new contract or sell him.
