Franck Kessie has admitted that despite being linked with a number of Premier League clubs his dream is to play for Manchester United.
According to a report in The Sun the in-demand Atalanta midfielder has spoken out as speculation intensifies that he will be moving on in the summer.
Juventus and Roma have been credited with interest in the 20-year-old but it seems that his heart is set on moving to England.
Kessie admitted: “I like the Premier League and in particular Manchester United, the club I dream of playing for. Chelsea? That is also a big club, nobody would turn them down, but I dream of United.”
Kessie was extensively linked with a transfer in January but with Atalanta refused to oblige as they ride high in Serie A.
Last month he was on duty at the African Cup of Nations where it’s believed that Eric Bailly was stating the case for a move to Old Trafford against reports of interest from a number of English clubs.
Kessie stepped up to Atalanta from Cesena last summer with his aggressive midfield style of play likened to Yaya Toure.
