Rodriguez turns down massive China deal

|

James Rodriguez has turned down the chance to earn ten times his Real Madrid salary by moving to China.

According to a report in Metro the Columbian striker has turned down a £26m/year offer from Chinese side Hebei Fortune.

Having already played for Porto and Monaco it seems that Rodriguez still has work to do in Europe rather than picking up a massive pay day in China.

News that the 25-year-old has turned down a £26m offer is bound to increase speculation that Rodriguez is on his way to England.

Manchester United and Chelsea have both been linked with the striker in recent weeks with United favourites for his signature after Jose Mourinho’s time at Real Madrid.

A £50m fee has been put on Rodriguez who has struggled to play in his preferred striking role this season.

Both Chelsea and United would give Rodriguez a striking role with the striker recently seen outside the British Embassy in Columbia.
