Pep Guardiola could be in hot water after making an illegal approach to Alexis Sanchez.
The Mirror are carrying reports from a Chilean source that the Manchester City boss phoned up Sanchez after his hat-trick against West Ham on Saturday.
City have been strongly linked with a move for the Arsenal striker but clubs are strictly forbidden from contacting players at rival clubs.
Arsenal are hoping to get Sanchez to commit to a new contract but talks seem to be stalling with the Gunners putting a limit of £200,000/week on any new deal.
City could easily offer Sanchez more than that with reports of direct contact between Guardiola and his former Barcelona striker bound to infuriate Arsenal.
Proving the claims from a Chilean news source won’t be easy but if they need a reminder of the value of their star striker the interest from Guardiola is a clear warning to the Gunners.
