He’s still yet to really convince spectators this term and now, Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge is 12/1 to sign for Tottenham as his next club in January, according to a report from HITC yesterday.

Subdued in the Reds’ dour 0-0 draw with Manchester United on Monday night, SkyBet have now listed their odds for the England international’s potential whereabouts in the January transfer window.

Only boasting two EFL Cup strikes to his name so far this term, Sturridge has fell behind Roberto Firmino in Jurgen Klopp’s striking pecking order and has had to be content with a withdrawn role off the front.

As for other potential suitors to Sturridge’s possible availability, Arsenal are the favourites to sign him at 9/1 while Chelsea are 14/1 and West Ham United 16/1.

Thinking about a Spurs switch in practice, Vincent Janssen has struggled to convince Tottenham fans since his £17 million summer arrival from AZ Alkmaar.

The Dutch international is yet to score a Spurs goal from open play and questions remain over whether Tottenham truly have enough quality back-up to Harry Kane.

Heung-Min Son has carried the goalscoring fight for Mauricio Pochettino’s men so far this season but there does appear to be room for a striker such as Sturridge right now. All metaphorical at this moment in time of course.
