Pedro - £7million

According to reports from the International Business Times this afternoon, Barcelona star Pedro has fueled talk of a summer move to the Premier League by hinting his future could lay away from the Nou Camp.

The 27 year-old has done and won it all throughout his tenures with the Catalans and the Spanish national team, winning five La Liga titles, three Champions League titles, the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 European Championship.

But he’s struggled for game-time since the £75million arrival of Luis Suarez at the start of last season, leading many to speculate he’d leave the Nou Camp this summer.

The 51-cap international appeared to end speculation over his future last month by signing a contract extension until 2019, which included a £108million release clause.

But since then, PSG and Liverpool have both been linked to the winger-forward whilst Arsenal are believed to have contacted his agent, and the arrival of fellow winger Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid has further complicated matters.

As quoted by IBT – who cite Spanish publication Sport – Pedro has since admitted; “It is obviously a delicate situation. [When the pre-season starts] we have to see what is the best for everyone. Now I just think about resting and enjoying the final few days of my time off.”

It’s starting to look like Pedro’s new contract was merely to maintain his market value, with his prior deal due to expire at the end of next season.
