OPINION
Anwar El Ghazi has been extremely impressive for Aston Villa this season throughout his loan spell with the club, and it has been a positive sign for the Villa faithful that he has been reportedly linked with a permanent move to the club this summer. The Dutch winger managed to register six goals and six assists in all competitions this season for Villa over 36 games, and was a key factor in Villa’s promotion to the Premier League, after scoring the opening goal in the Championship play-off final against Derby. It seems that the fans of the club are over the moon with the news that Dean Smith could be making El Ghazi a Villa player on a more permanent basis, with the majority of the Villa faithful claiming that the move would be a bargain, after The Guardian reported that the winger was ready to make an £8million move to Villa Park from Lille.

This is a lot more than I expected it to be, but it’s still great value. Love a bit of Anwar. https://t.co/dJHuo4qbId

9 million euros that’s about 8 million pounds. Still sounds like a bargain tbh. Can’t quite remember having a winger of this potential for years.

In today's market that's still a bargain for a player with bags of potential

El Ghazi has been incredible last 10+ games. Ran riot in the final. I’d happily pay €9mill for a 24 year old, ajax youngster who’s got 2 caps and played in the champions league. Not sure if he’s quite first 11 prem quality rn but will only improve under Smith. #avfc #utv
