According to reports from The Daily Mail, Newcastle United are targeting Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs in a last-minute transfer swoop.
Barring a seven-game loan spell at Norwich City, Gibbs has spent his entire career with Arsenal, originally emerging from their academy set-up at the start of the 2007/08 season.

But the left-back has managed just two starts in the Premier League this term, finding himself stuck behind Nacho Monreal in the pecking order, and recent reports have suggested he will resultantly look to force a move away from the Emirates ahead of next season.
According to The Daily Mail, Newcastle United are hoping to strike up a last-minute deal for the England international, using the guarantee of regular football as a key incentive ahead of next summer’s European Championships. They’re also hoping to sign a striker before the 11pm deadline.
But a move to Tyneside will only be sanctioned if the Gunners can arrange dependable cover for Monreal and unfortunately, the north London outfit saw a £4million bid for prodigious left-back Ben Chilwell rejected by Leicester City last week.
