Spurs fans were treated to a video of some of former striker Dimitar Berbatov’s best goals for the North London club on Twitter this week.
To celebrate the Bulgarian’s birthday, LastWordonSpurs shared a video of some of his efforts for the club during his spell there between 2006-08. The striker, now 39, scored an impressive 46 goals in 102 appearances for the North London club, before making the move to Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho’s side are currently in the market for a striker before Friday’s transfer deadline, with Harry Kane out injured until April, and many Spurs fans were quick to suggest that Berbatov should come out of retirement to help out his old club.
Who was the better striker in their prime?
Dimitar Berbatov

Harry Kane

Need him now, great player unfortunately the club again didn’t match his ambition. Shouldn’t of thrown Jol under the bus but a great player

For pure class and style no one came near Berbs .The way he trapped a ball from the air seemed like his leg turned into a giant spoon.

These Spurs fans clearly enjoyed the video of Berbatov and complimented the striker on his ability.
What do we think?
As much as some Spurs fans might want him to, it seems unlikely that Berbatov will come out of retirement and Spurs may have to find a solution to their problems up front elsewhere.
