Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a tweet following the latest comments to emerge from one of the north London club’s players.

Speaking to ESPN Brazil, Lucas Moura has been revealing his thoughts on not starting the 2019 Champions League final against Liverpool.

Should Lucas Moura have started the final?

Yes

Yes

No

No

The Brazilian scored a stunning hat-trick in the semi-final against Ajax to send the Lilywhites through to the final in Madrid – a game which he started on the bench.

“On the day of the game, in that last speech at the hotel, when we were already leaving and going to the stadium. Even the atmosphere was a little tense between the players, because no one understood anything,” Moura said.

Spurs fans flocked to the tweet from The Spurs Express to share their thoughts on Mauricio Pochettino’s decision not to start the winger in the final.

What exactly did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Biggest robbery of all time and probably Poch’s biggest mistake as Gaffa”

“Only thing I’ve ever had against Poch, was absolutely ridiculous that Lucas got dropped”
“That was scandalous from Poch”
“Pochettino should hang his head in shame”
“Poch’s biggest mistake.”
“Never forgiving Poch for it. I get you don’t bench your best player at all regardless but he should’ve started at least over Dele”
Yikes. Poch got this one wrong BUT had the result been the same, with Spurs not scoring, we’d have all been asking why he didn’t start Kane. It was a harder decision than it may have appeared. Just wasn’t to be #thfc

Moura has made a bright start to the new campaign under Nuno Espirito Santo which has seen the 29-year-old feature in all three of Tottenham’s Premier League games (via Transfermarkt).

Although Pochettino has since moved on to Paris Saint-Germain, it is apparent these Spurs fans are yet to forgive him for not starting the Brazilian in the Champions League final.
