Everton midfielder Tom Davies has shown in his latest Instagram post that the hard work has not stopped during his recovery from injury.
The 23-year old underwent surgery on his hamstring near the beginning of January and has not played any Premier League football this calendar year, so he has not been able to impress the new Toffees boss.
Will Davies thrive under Lampard?
Yes!
No!
Even if Davies could prove to Frank Lampard what he can do, given that the manager brought in two new midfielders on Deadline Day that can play through the middle in the form of Donny van de Beek and Dele Alli – as well as that Abdoulaye Doucoure is now back in training – it could be a very tough ask for him to make an impact.
Davies is not letting any injury or competition for places stop him from returning to fitness, as he claimed on Instagram that he’s still putting in the ‘hard work’.

TIF Thoughts on Tom Davies…
Under former manager Rafael Benitez, Davies may have been right to think he had no future at Everton, having started just one league game and been tipped with a transfer away to Newcastle United.
However, if he can get himself back fit and ready to play before the end of the season, Lampard could see him as s useful member of the squad. As a scouser that came through the club’s academy, he’ll likely know all about what the club means to the fans and will be willing to fight in every game.
