Journalist Andrew Musgrove has claimed that Newcastle United could see potentially three or four new signings on the final day of the transfer window.
With only a matter of hours before the winter market ends, the Magpies have already made some decent additions to their team. Indeed, Chris Wood, Kieran Trippier and Bruno Guimaraes could well be pivotal in their plight to avoid the drop.
Will Jesse Lingard end up at Newcastle eventually?
Yes

No

However, it does not look as though Eddie Howe and co have any intention of stopping just there. Indeed, while speaking on a Chronicle Newcastle United Facebook video, Musgrove stated that he believes there could be a number of signings to join that trio in the near future.
He explained his understanding, saying: “To think today we could see an extra three, four maybe come through the door, you’ve just got to give credit to the owners, because they’ve moved, they’ve seen the issues and they’ve gone out and they’re not only trying to fix them, they have fixed a lot of them.”
TIF Thoughts on Newcastle and their Deadline Day…
As things stand, a number of names are being linked with a late move to the Magpies. There are three players currently who seem most likely to be the men who make up the number of arrivals being claimed by Musgrove.
Indeed, as reported by Sky Sports, a bid for Hugo Ekitike has been accepted by Stade Reims, a loan deal for Aston Villa’s Matt Targett is close, while and Brighton defender Dan Burn should also arrive in Newcastle soon.
It remains to be seen whether or not a fourth player is brought in – that’s assuming the three deals above get across the line – but The Athletic have recently claimed that Jesse Lingard is pushing for a move away from Manchester United, so he could be the final target for the Magpies.
