A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to Mark Douglas’ tweet about Valentino Lazaro with the Evening Chronicle reporter claiming that the Toon are expected to announce his arrival today.
The Austrian international arrived in Newcastle in the early hours of the morning, and the club have fought off Red Bull Leipzig to get his signature for the rest of the season.
Can Lazaro make an impact for Newcastle?
Yes

No

The Magpies are expected to pay a loan fee of £1.25m with an option to buy for £20m in the summer.
Many Toon fans are pleased with this news.
NUFC set to announce loan signing of Valentino Lazaro today, then.
Seven days left and they're not done for the window after that one either – although any striker deal will depend on what falls into place in the final days of the window.
Outgoings needed too. #nufc

Mark , where does SB see Lozaro and Bentaleb playing ? Surely Midfield and wingers we are ok for ? We need a left wing back and a striker surely ?

I’m not knocking us potentially signing Lazaro but given the balance of the squad is another RWB needed considering we have Yedlin, Manquillo and Krafth. Surely better to concentrate efforts where needed (CF and LWB). If long term RWB needs upgraded then use the summer for that.

Been a quick turnaround since last week’s meeting. Imagine if it happened before the window

Club just can’t do anything properly

Im not worried. Most business happens at the end of the window when teams start to panic. Look at almiron last season for example

What do we think?
Steve Bruce confirmed in his press conference that Lazaro was in the building, and he was hoping he would be registered in time to play in the FA Cup match tomorrow.
The Toon boss also confirmed that Lazaro has been brought in as a winger, though, due to injuries, he might be expected to play further back for a few games.
It will be interesting to see what Lazaro can add to the Toon.
