A lot of Newcastle United fans have reacted to Demba Ba’s tweet – after he posted a message before the Toon played Everton in the Premier League.
Ba, who played for Newcastle from the summer of 2011 to January 2013, clearly still has a soft spot for Tyneside, and his post led to many Newcastle fans asking for the Senegalese striker to return.

What do we think?
When Newcastle signed Ba from West Ham for free there were fears over his knee.
However, he turned into a revelation, and in his first season with the club, he banged in 16 goals.
Ba proved himself a capable Premier League goalscorer and became a hero on Tyneside.
However, Harry Redknapp revealed that he had a low release clause and in the following season, after he had scored 13 goals Ba moved to Chelsea.
He scored 14 goals in 51 appearances but never quite hit the highs of his time on Tyneside.
Ba is now 34 and playing for Istanbul Basaksehir but some Toon fans still think he could do a job for their club.
Either way, it is nice to see that Ba still has affection for Newcastle and showed that through this tweet.
