Leeds United fans have been reacting to footage of Kalvin Phillips during last night’s England victory over Germany at the European Championships.
Gareth Southgate’s men claimed a 2-0 win at Wembley to book their place in the quarter-finals where they will play Ukraine in Rome on Saturday. Phillips played all 90 minutes and earned himself a 6.81 rating on WhoScored along the way.
But there was one moment in particular that seemed to get a lot of attention during his display, and it was his tackle that sent Kai Havertz flying out on the touchline. Tackles are certainly something that Phillips doesn’t shy away from, having averaged 2.6 last season for Leeds, but this one was particularly aesthetically pleasing for the way the Chelsea man went flying in the process.
The footage was posted by @totalLeedsco on social media for Leeds fans to react to, and to say that Leeds fans enjoyed the footage would be an understatement:
“Proper tackle that”
Has Kalvin Phillips been England's best player so far?
Yes

No

Just another moment that adds to the love-in that seems to be growing between the Leeds man and the fans after his performances for England during the tournament.
