A large number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to share their relief with the latest injury update to emerge on midfielder Adam Forshaw.
The 30-year-old Leeds ace started in their 3-2 Premier League victory on Sunday afternoon, however, he was only able to last 22 minutes having sustained an injury (via Transfermarkt).
Did Forshaw deserve the new deal?
Yes

No

Forshaw was able to provide the assist for the West Yorkshire side’s first goal of the game against West Ham United, but he was seen clutching his leg with a suspected hamstring issue shortly after.
However, the midfielder has taken to Instagram to reassure the Leeds fans his injury is not as bad as initially feared, and that he will return after the club’s upcoming break, with the Whites not playing for over two weeks following their next league game against Newcastle United.
“Thanks for all the messages, it’s only a small hamstring injury. I’m fighting to be ready for Saturday, if not I’ll be back straight after the break,” said Forshaw on Instagram.
His message was relayed on Twitter by The Athletic’s Phil Hay, with many fans showing their delight in response.
What did these Leeds fans have to say?
“Great news regarding Forshaw’s injury. We couldn’t afford to lose him, he hasn’t put a foot wrong.”
Fitness issues have been the story of Leeds’ season so far, with Kalvin Phillips still out after sustaining a major injury – which has seen Forshaw play such a prominent role in Bielsa’s plans.
And having signed a new deal with Leeds just a matter of days before, it is apparent the update has come as welcome news for a player who has had a career plagued by injury issues of his own.

If Forshaw can’t play then I presume our game with Newcastle will be called off.
I find it incredible that teams of Burnley and Arsenal’s stature don’t have U23 teams to fill in for all the missing players
