OPINION
Leeds United fans are eager for their club to revive their January bid for Daniel James after it emerged on Thursday night that Swansea City have told employees that they’re facing redundancy. As reported by Wales Online, Swansea have written a bombshell letter to every member of staff warning them of impending job losses, as the financial cost of Premier League relegation continues to bite. With their Championship rivals in a parlous financial state, the Whites faithful sense an opportunity to make a fresh swoop for James, who came within a whisker of a loan-to-buy move to Elland Road on deadline day, only for Swansea to pull the plug at the eleventh hour. It’s been widely reported that Leeds had agreed a £1.5million loan that would have been converted into a £10million transfer including add-ons in the summer if they had been promoted. United fans have subsequently admired the development of winger James for Graham Potter’s side and believe he can now be snapped up for a bargain price.

Imagine rebuffing a transfer on deadline day when you need cash then making staff redundant a few weeks later

Jenkins, who sold to the Americans, has already baled out though, so he's alright, Jack?
